SF Millstream Media Release
An extensive seven year investigation undertaken by the NSW Police Force Organised Crime Squad and the NSW Crime Commission has led to the arrests of three persons of interest in Sydney, Baulkham Hills and Muswellbrook on 16 June 2020. The arrests end one of the State’s most significant and longest running joint investigations into an organised crime syndicate with links to the Lone Wolf outlaw motorcycle group.
NSW Police established SF Millstream in December 2013 to investigate a transnational criminal syndicate involved in large-scale drug importation, money laundering and other criminal activity. Over the course of the investigation, officers uncovered at least three major drug importations of MDMA and Methylamphetamine exceeding 2.87 tonnes with an estimated street value of more than $150 million. Syndicate members are also alleged to have dealt with proceeds of crime worth more than $54 million and asset confiscations have commenced in the NSW Supreme Court against many of these persons.
The three arrests join 16 persons already charged with illicit activities by SF Millstream investigators. These persons include two men arrested on 11 June 2020 in Dubai upon the issue of Interpol Red Notices who will face further extradition hearings.
